Media Center Rules

Using the media center

Students may come to the media center any time during the day to check out books. Third, fourth and fifth graders must bring a library pass signed by their teachers.

Small groups of students are welcome in the media center to read, research or work on a special project. These groups should also bring a library pass from their teacher and should be considerate of classes or other groups who are also using the media center.

Circulation Policies

Students in kindergarten may check out one book at a time.

First graders and second graders may check out two books at a time.

Third, fourth, and fifth graders may check out three books at a time.

Parents are also encouraged to check out books from our media center.

All books are due when the student is finished with them.

Books are overdue after they have been checked out for two weeks. Books may be renewed if the student needs them longer.

We do not charge overdue fines; however, a student who has an overdue book will not be allowed to check out another book until all overdue books have been returned.

We do ask students to pay for lost or damaged materials.
