A Letter from our PTA
On behalf of the Stough PTA, we extend a warm welcome to our new and returning students and their families. We are so glad to have your family join our community of parents and teachers. The PTA partners with the Stough staff to be a voice for our children and enhance their education. When you join or renew your PTA membership, you become a member of the state and national PTA, the largest and most effective advocacy groups for children. Your voice and vote at meetings make a difference. We need you to be a part of the long standing tradition at Stough that is an important ingredient in the education of our children.
Parent involvement makes a school strong. There are several events already planned for this school year, such as the Math and Science night, Scholastic Book Fair, and annual Mardi Gras. Many volunteer opportunities exist that do not require a huge time commitment, or meeting attendance. One of our major goals this year is to encourage "families" to take advantage of the many volunteer opportunities with your PTA. You will find that participating in Stough's PTA is very rewarding. We look forward to meeting and working with you this school year.
